![]() One of the tensest gaming experiences I've ever had. Than I replayed it a few years later to get the gravity gun only achievement. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out that much either. It has an intro video that pretty much gives away the whole plot to the first one though, if you're the sort of person that matters to.Īlso, since you asked, Ravenholm didn't do much for me the first time around. If you're curious, there is a demo for DS2 (at least on 360 there is). And darkness and monster closets and random screaming while running from button to button to open up the level. ![]() Of course it was a new and improved Doom 3, what with the immersive UI and dismemberment and duct tape and stuff. Maybe I didn't get far enough past the intro, but I just had a whole Doom 3 vibe while I was playing. it was good, but I just wasn't in the mood to play Doom 3 again. I have $45 in bestbuy bux to burn up, so I'll be strongly tempted to get my deadspace on this weekend! ![]() So it's entirely possible I'll never make it to Deadspace 2 if I go back to 1, but I wanted to quickly ask folks about these two points-1) opinions on whether it's better to play the original (is the original that strong a game it shouldn't be missed), and 2) were there folks who didn't groove on Deadspace, and if so how did they feel about other games like the Ravenholm area of Halflife2 or Doom3. I never got around to Gears of War 2 after playing #1. With other games I missed, I went back for Crackdown 1 and had a blast, but never yet got around to #2. I'm trying to decide whether I should give the first game a shot first. So I gave deadspace a miss back in the day, and now there's this sequel. Ravenholm bothered me and I was glad it was over, but I did enjoy it a lot, but that's the only zombie game I've ever sought out, because it wasn't really a zombie game. ![]() I never cared for traditional horror movies (friday 13th, elm street, etc) and don't understand others' love of zombies. I never got deadspace I'm not always a fan of horror, but I did enjoy stuff like Doom in the past, and I love being scared (Alien 1 movie).
